Mel C has laughed off her band mate Mel B’s claim that the Spice Girls have been invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding later this year.
During her appearance on The Real last week, she was asked if she knew anyone who had been invited to the big day.
Mel revealed that the girl band were on the guestlist, before adding: ‘I don’t know if I should have said that. Why am I so honest?’
But according to Sporty Spice, Mel wasn’t being entirely serious. Or if she was, then Mel C’s wedding invitation might have got lost in the post.
She told The Sun at the Prince’s Trust Awards: ‘I’ve met Prince Charles lots of times. I’m going to ask him where my invite is because I haven’t got mine yet, obviously Mel B said she has hers.
‘I think Mel was just kind of having a bit of a joke. There are no plans to go to the wedding at the moment.’
This isn’t the only bit of disappointing Spice Girls-related news we’ve had, as Mel also claimed that Victoria Beckham has decided against the much-anticipated reunion.
She said: ‘It’s really not something she wants to do at this time. I think it has to be all five, so it’s tricky.’
