Victoria Beckham couldnt help but add a little spice to her acceptance speech at the E! Peoples Choice Awards 2018 on Sunday.

The 44-year-old fashionista was honoured with the Fashion Icon Award at the star-studded awards ceremony held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

Taking to the stage after picking up the gong from model Amber Valletta, the mum-of-four dropped in a reference to hit Spice Girls smash, Wannabe – despite snubbing the groups 2019 reunion.

I always told myself, “Dream big and then dream even bigger.” And I wanted to show that if I can do it, anyone can do it. And what you can achieve really can be limitless, she told the crowd, before throwing up a peace sign and adding: I cant help it – if you really, really want it, okay?

As the audience whooped and cheered in appreciation, she continued: They told me at the table, they said, “Youve come all the way from London, you gotta get up there and give em what they want, what they really, really want.”

Victoria, dressed in a chic all-white blazer-and-trousers ensemble, went on to pay testament to her decade-long achievements in the fashion industry, though she apologised for reading off cards, saying: I hung up my microphone quite some time ago, I get a little bit scared when I go on stage and see a mic.

However, her message still remained in urging women to pursue their passions and believe in themselves and their dreams.

If you really, really put your head down and you focus and you work hard and you believe in yourself, what you can achieve is incredible, she smiled.

Many years ago, I started with girl power, and now that message is just as strong as ever but now its through the privilege of being able to empower women through my designs.

Victorias rousing speech caught the eye of fellow Spice Girls member Melanie C, who said the fashion designers accolade was thoroughly deserved.

Congratulations and thoroughly deserved, Sporty Spice wrote alongside four clapping hands emojis underneath a video of Victorias speech. Proud!

Remaining Spice Girls members Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Mel B and Mel C confirmed dates for their upcoming reunion tour last week, with extra trek stops added to cater for growing demand.

While Victoria wont be joining the four-piece as they hit stadiums across the U.K next year, she celebrated girl power on Instagram last week as she reflected on her time in the group.

Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012! she gushed underneath an image of her former band mates.

I wont be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year.

Adding the hashtag Friendship never ends, she continued: I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!

During Sundays speech, Victoria also sent her love and support to those affected by the wildfires in her second home of California and extended her appreciation for the firefighters doing an incredible job at battling the blaze.
