Lauren Goodger paid an emotional tribute on social media to her grandmother, who tragically passed away on Monday morning.

The reality TV star shared the sad news with her 770,000 Instagram followers, posting to her Instagram Stories of her hand wearing two stunning vintage rings, one with an intricate star design and one with a smooth band and large stone in the middle.

My Nan passed away this morning, the mourning Lauren wrote, Ive taken 2 special rings of hers Ill always have now .. just with family at my nans waiting for the undertaker.

Accompanying her picture with a broken heart emoji and cherub sticker, the TOWIE star went on to share an old throwback snap of her late grandmother, simply captioning the image: R.i.P My Nanny Pat.

Rising to fame on TOWIE in 2010, 32-year-old Lauren, who used to date Mark Wright, most recently appeared on Celebs Go Dating alongside fellow reality TV personalities Megan Barton Hanson, Chloe Sims and Jack Fincham.

While appearing on the dating programme, Lauren opened up about the impact her childhood had had on her mental health and dating life.

Lauren, who is is one of seven children, revealed: When I was four my mum gave me to my dad but kept my older brother and sister.

She said she couldnt cope with three on her own. For me that was heartbreaking.

When asked about the impact this had had on her relationship with men, Lauren said: I can only think that Ive been rejected.

Thats why I stay in these long relationships when I shouldnt, and however much they put me through, I still stay there for a long time.
