Lady Gaga was literally covered in rainbows, from the seams of her hat to her glittery thigh high boots, as she paid tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.

The 33-year-old singer, known for her outspoken support of the LGBT+ community, was seen in rainbows as she visited the renowned gay bar where it all began.

The Stonewall Inn Riots, which kick-started the gay rights movement began on 28 June 1969 on the streets of New York.

Gaga wore a black top underneath a rainbow cropped jacket, a pair of denim shorts with rainbow fringe and a pair of thigh high boots – the colour of rainbows, of course.

The Born This Way singer posted the look on her Instagram page, writing: I couldnt be more proud of every single person in that crowd and around the world today.

Gaga didnt perform at the Stonewall Inn event but did deliver an emotional speech to the crowd.

This community has fought and continued to fight a war of acceptance, a war of tolerance — and the most relentless bravery. she said, according to NBC 4 New York.

You are the definition of courage, do you know that? This is a celebration of all of you in every single way.

She announced to the crowd: I personally think Pride should exist 365 [days] out of the year, but Ill take a f— global week.

All hail to so many, including Ms. Marsha P. Johnson. What bravery, what courage, in the spirit of acceptance, the spirit of tolerance, the spirit of courage to be seen as you see yourself.

Gaga has been going all out for Pride and earlier this week celebrated her Enigma show at Harlems Apollo Theatre.
