Kourtney Kardashian has defended her parenting after arguing with her mothers boyfriend Corey Gamble on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The 40-year-old reality star, who has three children – Mason, nine, Penelope, seven, and Reign, four – with her ex-partner Scott Disick, got into a heated argument with her mum Kris Jenners boyfriend Corey during an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians over acceptable ways to discipline children.
In the episode, Kourtney and her sister Kim Kardashian West both claimed their children have lashed out at their nannies in the past, and Corey said if Penelope were to ever scratch him, hed give her a spanking for sure.
Kourtney and 36-year-old Scott both slammed Corey for his comments, and the Poosh founder has now taken to Twitter to insist physically hurting a child is not an acceptable way to get your kids in check.
She wrote: In my opinion, beating children is not [how] to get your kids in check. When children are hurting or frustrated, the answer is not to physically hurt them.
Kourtney went on to say she and Scott – who are now co-parenting their kids – do discipline their children in other ways that dont involve physical harm.
She added: I am very proud of my kids and being a parent isnt always easy, but we do have consequences that dont involve physical harm.
In the E! reality show, Scott – who is now dating Sofia Richie – slammed Corey for suggesting hed spank Penelope, while Kourtney said she felt uncomfortable leaving him alone with any of her kids.
Corey originally said: If P scratch me, Im whipping her a.
Whilst Scott shouted back: My daughter? My little daughter?! … Dont ever talk about a child like that!
Kris tried to act as a mediator in the situation and she insisted Corey didnt mean his comments literally and would never hurt Penelope.
Kourtney fumed back: Because he will never be with my kids alone and if he does that in front of any of us there will be a f***ing issue!
Kourtney then admitted they were never going to agree about it but equally she didnt want to not bring her kids to her mums house because she feels uncomfortable.
