Kim and Kanye hired their own firefighters to put out the flames, and dig ditches around their house in order to prevent it from spreading, which in turn saved not only their $20 million (£15 million) property but also as the surrounding houses.

The couples property sits at the bottom of a cul-de-sac, meaning if the fire managed to engulf their home, it could easily have spread to their neighbours houses.
