Still wearing the noose allegedly used to frighten him, Jussie Smollett appears in new footage from the night he reported an attack in January.

Chicago Police have released body cam videos taken from their initial meeting with Jussie, following his managers 911 call in the early hours of January 29, 2019.

The film, published by TMZ, was taken around 40 minutes after the Empire actor says he was ambushed and even sees police officers suggest that he removes the rope from his neck.

Jussie explains to police that he wanted to keep it on until they had seen it, but later says he doesnt want to be recorded.

Now, however, a special prosecutor has been assigned to investigate why the charges were suddenly dropped, the latest development being the release of these videos from the night of the attack.

At the start of this month, Chicago Police released the 911 call made to report a racist and homophobic ambush.

The Empire stars manager Frank Gatson made the calls around 40 minutes after Smollett returned to his apartment with a noose around his neck, according to the New York Post.

Gatson is heard saying: I just think hes startled. Im scared and I dont know what it is — They put a noose around his neck.

They didnt do anything with it, but put it around his neck. Thats pretty f***ed up to me — sorry for saying it like that.

He also says that Jussie was initially hesitant to file an official statement but believed it was in his best interests and co-operated fully with officers.
