Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were forced to evacuate their $20 million (£15 million) home in Hidden Hills, Calabasas after it was hit by the California wildfires.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star evacuated the Hidden Hills property on Thursday night with her three children, North, five, Saint, two, and nine-month-old Chicago.

Kanye has thanked emergency services for risking their lives, declaring the firefighters true heroes of the Woolsey Fires that spread across the sunny state.

The married couple have been quite well known for their home, which they purchased in 2014 from Lisa Marie Presley for $20 million, because of the years it has taken them to renovate.

But, and this is no surprise to anybody, Kimye wanted more and they reportedly racked up another $20 million worth of contractor bills.

Earlier this year Yeezy even tweeted images from the empty-looking home, giving fans a first look into the never-ending remodel that has reportedly annoyed their neighbours in the gated community of Hidden Hills.

Kanye even joked that the very minimalistic mansion looked like the sunken place in reference to the hit horror movie Get Out.

The social media activity, which showed bare off-white walls and plain tables, were spotted by millions of people online wife Kim, who jokingly scolded the star for sharing images of their home to the world.

Now, their home is a talking point again after Kim confirmed this weekend that the flames had been contained and were no longer posing a threat to the property they bought four years ago.

According to previous reports from TMZ, convoys of dump trucks have roared through their exclusive and super-quiet neighborhood over the years as the Kardashian-Wests two separate swimming pools were filled in and excavation began for an artificial lake.

Extravagant!

When the family got the home in 2014, the 15,667-square-foot, eight bedroom estate was described as a French Country-style home with dual baths, two swimming pools, two barbecue centres, two spas, a sauna and a vineyard, among many other fancy things.

This was all before the renovations.

In December 2017, they eventually reportedly moved into the personalised palace as renovations finally wrapped up.

Since then Kim has admitted to a major flaw in their desire to have an all-white house thanks to their three little humans.

Perhaps Kim and Kanye did not take in into consideration the little sprogletts – daughter North, four, two-year-old son Saint, and baby daughter Chicago – who no doubt love running around with crayons in hand and food all over their fingers.

So how does she keep everything squeaky clean?

Oh my God. I run around the house with towels, she told Architectural Digest. Our last house that we just moved out of was all grays, which was a good test, because we knew we were going to move into a lighter house.

So when it comes to their children being the creative types that they tend to be at that age, the 37-year-old revealed that her kids have a playroom which contains paints, markers and crayons, so that they can get all their mischievous artistic desires out of their system before stepping into the rest of the house.

We have a great playroom and thats where all the markers and the paints and the colours are and I really overdo it in the playroom so that by the time theyre done there they have no desire to take a pen on a nice piece of furniture.

One time I walked in and my daughter had purple nail polish all over her little kids vanity, all over her toys, and all over the walls and I had just left the room for not even five minutes.

It was at our last house so I might flip out now because Axel [Vervoordt] made our walls with this material thats like not a Venetian plaster but some kind of plaster from Belgium, she added speaking of the renowned interior designer.
