Im a Celebrity star Anne Hegerty will swap real life jungle rats – to play a Queen Rat this Christmas.

Although fans may have to wait a few extra weeks to catch her in action.

The Governess was due to appear in pantomime show Dick Whittington at The Windsor Theatre Royal in Berkshire this Christmas for a full six-week run.

However, due to her appearance on ITVs Im a Celeb, Anne has been forced to cut the stint down to half the time at three weeks.

With Anne currently battling her way through Bushtucker trials down under in the Australian jungle, it means fans hoping to catch her on-stage will have to wait until the Dick Whittington production is halfway through.

Anne, 60, is due to play wicked Queen Rat but will be replaced by Anita Harris until she escapes from the depths of the jungle. The Chase star is set to make her debut in the play on 18 December until 6 January so shell have plenty of time to dust away those creepy crawlies.
