Another Love Island couple bites the dust (Picture: WireImage)

Sam Bird and Georgia Loyal Steel are the latest Love Island 2018 couple to split.

Sad face.

While they appeared at last nights ITV Palooza, looking a little less loved up than usual, sure, this evening Sam was the first to break the news they were no more, three months after leaving the Love Island villa together and shacking up in a luxe Essex flat.

And his announcement was all very dramatic, as he hinted there was some wrongdoing afoot.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote: Im devastated to announce me and Georgia have split up for reasons I cant bring myself to comment on at the moment.

As always I wish her all the best.

He was immediately inundated with well-wishes, due to this incredibly dramatic message that has us on the edge of our seats, including from 2017 Love Island alumni Chris Hughes, who wrote: Chip up buddy. More happiness around the corner.

Keep smiling and upbeat.

Well thats sweet.

While Georgia added her sadness at their split, as she followed up her exs post on Instagram.

Im very sad to say me and Sam have split, she wrote. I will always care about him.

However please understand this is a hard time for us both thank you.

The couple found love, or close to it, in the Love Island villa, after loyal G was pied by Josh Denzel.

They become perhaps the most unlikely of pairings, but it worked on the outside as they withstood the test of real life.

Unfortunately now, however, they join the ranks of love lost on the island, after couples including Charlie and Ellie, Laura and Paul and Samira and Frankie, and other Laura and Jack.

2017 contestant Olivia Attwood even noticed the couples were splitting up faster than you could say: Is that Caroline? as she took to Twitter to savagely trolled the 2018 breakups and, to be honest, its a big mood.

She wrote: Love island couples dropping like flys this year! Interesting that… I thought we were bad.

This is why we cant have nice things, people!
