Fortntie Season 7 MAP UPDATE: More snow hints at BIG changes as Battle Pass reveal nears (Pic: EPIC)

The Fortnite Season 7 teases are coming thicker and faster as we approach the launch of the new Battle Pass later this week.

Today, players have noted that the spawn island (a separate location from the game's main map where players are held whilst waiting for the Battle Bus that'll take them to the main game area) is beginning to see a slight snowfall.

An encroaching storm cloud from the edge of the map is moving closer to the game's main map, and it looks like this island is the first to feel the heat (or lack thereof).

Is this a hint of what else we can expect to see in Season 7? Is the whole map going to turn into a big arctic wonderland? It's looking likely.

The first tease for Fortnite Season 7 was released on Twitter at 3pm BST on Monday, December 3 – and if previous seasons are anything to go by, that means we can expect to see another tease go live at the same time today.

The first teaser told us: "A bitter ice spreads… 3 days to Season 7."

Will today's be a continuation of the winter theme, or can we expect something totally different?

Maybe something related to the light snowstorm and ice castle spotted in the distance of the Fortnite Map.

In past seasons the teasers have revealed clues for the games next Battle Pass skins. In Season 6, for instance, the teasers included the DJ Yonder, Calamity and Werewolf Dire skin.

So you would imagine that the first teaser image for Season 7 included a teaser for one of these new battle pass skins, and today's new update would do the same.

There could also be further battle pass teasers in the forthcoming posters.

Although the first image was mainly dominated by a figure in a cowl, it also looks like a mountain and – weirdly – a figure skating down the slope.

Aside from the incoming storm cloud teasing what's to come in Season 7, the image suggests that we could see a new Fortnite Season 7 mode of transport in the game.

A figure can be seen skiing down the slope, suggesting Epic is going to add in a set of skis to the game. Maybe this will be an item you can pick up (like the shopping cart) that can help you navigate the map.
