The floating island that was introduced at the start of Fortnite season 6 has started moving around the map.

Epic Games launched the newest update on Thursday and it included various new locations and points of interest.
A purple cube had been moving around the map during season 5 and leaving runes in various locations before ending up in Loot Lake.
It has since led to creating the floating island which players are able to glide up to by travelling through the tornado beneath it.
Players have now spotted that the island has started to move and speculation has begun of what we can expect.
One Reddit user said: Its probably going to all the runes in a backward order of where how they were printed since its going towards Pleasant Park now.
Others have predicted that the other rune locations could become their own floating islands around the map.

Another popular theory is that the rune location will soon have their own lava pools, while other players think the cube could create its own volcano by flipping the island upside down.
The exact outcome of the floating island moving around the map is not yet known but players are likely to keep a close eye on it over the next few days.
What is new in Fortnite season 6?
The cube has been around the map for several weeks and it has had a big influence over the season 6 changes.
One addition to the game is a new consumable item called Shadow Stones which can be found near the many runes that were left behind by the cube.
When a player consumes one they will receive the Shadow Form ability that makes them invisible to enemies.
During this time you wont be able to use weapons and leave a shadow trail when moving, but you can move slightly faster and get fall immunity while it is in effect.
Another new addition is the introduction of pets as a new cosmetic item.
In the description Epic Games says Always have a friend watching your back when you drop in. Pets are now available in-game!
There havent been too many details revealed about the new items but it looks like players will be able to carry them around on their back.
Epic Games has added various new locations to the map, although all of the named areas are still there but with some slight changes in some of them.

Loot Lake now has a floating island at the centre of it that has been caused by the cube.
There is also a haunted castle near Haunted Hills as well as corn fields and the new corrupted areas where players can find shadow stones.
Other announced locations have also been added for players to find when exploring the game.
Several items have also been vaulted in the game – Impulse Grenade, Suppressed Submachine Gun, Light Machine Gun, Bouncer and Remote Explosives.
