Fortnite shop update: Summer Drift skin set available before 14 Days of Summer start time (Pic: EPIC GAMES)
The Fortnite Item Shop has refreshed this morning and the previously leaked Summer Drift Skin and set is now available to purchase ahead of the 14 Days of Summer event, which starts later today.
The skin is Epic rarity and can be purchased for 1,500 V-Bucks.
As well as this, players can also purchase the Driftstream glider as part of the set, which is rare and can be purchased for 800 V-Bucks.
Finally, players can also pick up the Dual Edge pickaxe, costing 1,200 V-Bucks, and the Kitsune wrap, costing 500 V-Bucks, from the item shop as well.

"Other items in todays Fortnite Item Shop include the Field Surgeon and Commando skins, the Plunja pickaxe, the Bubblegum wrap and the Guitar walk emote," notes Fortnite Insider.
As mentioned, the new Summer Drift skin arrives at the perfect time, just before the new Summer themed 14 Days of Summer event is due to begin later today.
14 Days of Summer Event
Epic hasn't supplied an official start time for the 14 Days of Summer event, but we suspect that it'll be live from this afternoon at roughly 2pm BST. This is the time when most new content goes live and also when the new daily Fortbyte puzzles are released.
"Heya folks, its time to soak up some rays during Fortnites 14 Days of Summer," reads an Epic post. "Each day, drop into Fortnite for something new."
Epic has also confirmed that each day in Battle Royale will see the following changes:
- A weapon unvaulted for 24 hours only.
- A new LTM to play (check out the full selection of LTMs that will debuting below).
- A daily challenge and free reward.
- New outfits and more in the Item Shop.
Creative mode players will also see a new featured island daily, whilst Save the world players be able to complete a new quest every day. Epic also added when discussing Save the World: "Complete quests to earn heaps of Summer Tickets; complete all 14 to unlock a new explosive weapon!"
