Fortnite Season 7 Teaser 2 – Update 4

Once again the new Season 7 teaser poster is hiding, potentially, a brand new feature coming to the game in the upcoming Season.

In the first poster, it looked as though we could be getting skis or a snowboard like feature, which looks to have been confirmed as much in today's second teaser poster today.

And the new poster released today, has now revealed what could be a new piece of equipment in the form of a zipline.

Again, this is a small part of the teaser image but we've zoomed in and posted a close up picture for you just below.

Fortnite Season 7 Teaser 2 – Update 3

The second Fortnite Season 7 teaser is here and it's again another icy image to reflect the games winter theme and impending snowstorm.

Once again, this seems to hint at now only some new skins for the Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass, but also, new modes of transport in the game.

This time, it looks like our hero character is on a snowboard.

Could it be yet another feature coming in Season 7 to help traverse an impending snowy area of the map?

Especially since we can't see it being much use in Tilted Towers.

Stay tuned for more details.

Fortnite Season 7 Teaser 2 – Update 2

If you were starting to question whether Epic Games was going to drop another Fortnite teaser today, then don't worry. It's coming.

In a slightly cheeky Tweet to Nick Chester, the games Senior PR, Paul Tassi, a (fantastic) writer at Forbes, asked if the teaser was coming or whether he had time to grab lunch.

Remarkably, Chester has responded saying:

"Its coming. Then lunch. Eat an apple in the meantime."

So in short. The second teaser is coming. You've got time for an apple in the meantime. Anything bigger like a sandwich, is probably out of the question.

Its coming. Then lunch. Eat an apple in the meantime.

Fortnite Season 7 Teaser 2 – Update 1

In an impressive feint, Epic didn't reveal a new Fortnite tease at 3pm GMT as everyone expected, but rather dropped a dev update for Fortnite's oft-ignored original mode, Save The World.

We still reckon Epic will drop a new update for Fortnite Season 7 today, though – this will just be a little break in the schedule whilst the company basks in the brand new announcement of a new online game store that seems to have been launched to compete with Steam.

You can read all about that here.

We'll update you as soon as any more news about the next update reveals itself.

Epic Games will be revealing another tease for Fortnite Season 7 later today.

The developers will be continuing their Season 7 teaser countdown with another poster reveal, coming at roughly 3pm GMT today.

The first tease for Fortnite Season 7 was released on Twitter at 3pm BST on Monday, December 3 – and if previous seasons are anything to go by, that means we can expect to see another tease go live at the same time today.

The first teaser told us: "A bitter ice spreads… 3 days to Season 7."

Will today's be a continuation of the winter theme, or can we expect something totally different?

Maybe something related to the huge snowstorm and ice castle spotted in the distance of the Fortnite Map.

The most likely scenario is yet more clues for the games next big battle pass.

In past seasons the teasers have revealed clues for the games next Battle Pass skins. In Season 6, for instance, the teasers included the DJ Yonder, Calamity and Werewolf Dire skin.

So you would imagine that the first teaser image for Season 7 included a teaser for one of these new battle pass skins, and today's new update would do the same.

There could also be further battle pass teasers in the forthcoming posters.

Although the first image was mainly dominated by a figure in a cowl, it also looks like a mountain and – weirdly – a figure skating down the slope.

Aside from the incoming storm cloud teasing what's to come in Season 7, the image suggests that we could see a new Fortnite Season 7 mode of transport in the game.

A figure can be seen skiing down the slope, suggesting Epic is going to add in a set of skis to the game. Maybe this will be an item you can pick up (like the shopping cart) that can help you navigate the map.

Maybe upcoming map changes will make your movement speed through snow a bit slower – skis will help to offset this, and make you more of a threat in frozen areas.

It isn't unreasonable to assume Epic will introduce these skis with a new Challenge in the upcoming Battle Pass: perhaps you'll be tasked with taking on a slalom down a new area that'll change on the map.

We'll have to wait and see. But even looking beyond the new update coming this Thursday we also know that Epic Games has got something huge to announce early Friday morning at the Game Awards 2018.

"Fortnite actually got announced by CliffyB at the VGAs 2011," he said (via Fortnite News).

"Very different game but yeah it was announced back then and we're excited that they will be a part of the show – we definitely have some Fortnite news, Donald Mustard will be here, they are a nominee as well so stay tuned for that."

What's more intriguing though, is that this doesn't seem to be connected with Season 7.

I can't stress enough how much we have going on this week. Geoff isn't talking about Season 7 launch here. Tune in! https://t.co/K2gwZoizqa

Following up on his original tease, Geoff Keighley told fortnite players to keep their game close.

"Thursday during The Game Awards don't miss a @fortnitegame announcement and world premiere from Epic's @DonaldMustard, streaming live at 9 PM ET / 6 PM PT everywhere And oh yeah, keep your game close."

It's slightly strange though because Epic's Nick Chester later told fans that the Game Awards announcement has nothing to do with Fortnite Season 7.

"I can't stress enough how much we have going on this week," Chester tweeted. "Geoff isn't talking about Season 7 launch here. Tune in!"

We've no idea at this point what it could be. A new LTM perhaps? That's what they revealed last year after all. But it certainly feels like something much bigger and more important.

Only time will tell.
