Fortnite Heavy Shotgun LEAKED: Epic Games Battle Royale Update revealed

Fortnite's next new legendary weapon may have been outed by the games internal in-game news feed menu and it looks like players will soon have a "Heavy Shotgun" to contend with in the Battle Royale battlefield.

According to the description, this new shotgun will have "increased range" but according to Fortnite Intel and a past post looking at upcoming weapons, there is a lengthier description that provides a bit more detail.

Supposedly this new Heavy Shotgun is described as a “Pump shotgun with a large magazine. Fires slugs for medium-range effectiveness.”

You'll also be able to obtain the weapon in Legendary and Epic rarities.

The response online, so far anyway, isn't glowing, with many pointing out how overpowered such a weapon could be."Could potentially be the most OP thing they’ve ever added. Can’t think of a way they’re gonna balance this," wrote one user on the Fortnite Battle Royale Reddit page."It has to be a joke. Why would Epic release a new shotgun amidst the countless complaints of the current shotguns?" wrote another user.
There's no planned release date yet for the Heavy Shotgun, but as with most in-game news updates, they tend to release with the next patch, which would be tomorrow.

Vehicle Tower, Rock Sculpture, and a Circle of Hedges Fortnite Challenge SOLVED

Here's how to solve the Fortnite Week 3 Challenge: ‘Search between a Vehicle Tower, Rock Sculpture, and a Circle of Hedges'

News of this upcoming new weapon arrives as Epic informed fans of some changes to the games existing Limited Time Mode, Blitz.

Epic Games took to Reddit last night to confirm they were making significant changes to the Blitz LTM in a hotfix scheduled to go live at some point today.

Writing to fans, JustMooney1, the games Community Coordinator told Redditors:

"Today, we will be hotfixing the Blitz Limited Time Mode in order to lower the amount of building resources gained from floor loot and farming.
"Having tons of resources is a blast, and our goal with the mode was to make it easier to gain resources due to the storm moving in so much faster.
"We believe that our initial resource numbers were a bit too abundant, and are making this adjustment to ensure there is still some risk/reward when farming in Blitz."
According to Epic, the following changes will occur to the Blitz LTM:

  • Floor loot resources reduced from 100 to 60.
  • Farming resources increase reduced from 200% to 150%.

Ice Cream Trucks Fortnite challenge SOLVED: Map Locations, server updates and more

A RUNDOWN of where you can find every ice cream truck in Fortnite for the week 4 challenge.

On the plus side though, dataminers (Via Fortnite Intel) may have found evidence that the game could soon launch a new replay or theatre mode for Fortnite Battle Royale.

During the launch of the games last update, Patch V3.3.0, some new files were added to the game and in particular, one folder titled 'Replay' strongly suggests this new mode could be in the works.

The folder appeared in the sounds directory and according to Fortnite Intel, it included a number of audio files for your standard playback controls.

On top of this a new ‘Replay Browser’ was added to the games UI, which suggests that players might be able to browse multiple replays inside the game.

As if that wasn't enough evidence, several icons were added to the Replay folder which included everything from pause, fast-forward icons to cameras. You can see these below the gallery.

Obviously, at the moment nothing has been confirmed by Epic Games, but with so many signs, it would suggest something is in the works for the game.
