Epic seems to be getting in the Halloween spirit – leading up to a new event.

After the world became obsessed with the Cube's slow march to oblivion, Epic is keen to keep up the intrigue with a new Halloween-focussed event… and in true Epic style, the teases about this new mode are coming in slow.

The developer has been placing little Halloween-themed decorations in the map over the last few days, including ghostly baubles placed on streetlights and spiders on tops of buildings.

Pleasant Park, Tilted Towers and more have seen these seasonal decorations drop on them. But what's going to happen next?

"Im just pumped for… Halloween, dude."

This suggests that Epic could be planning to bring some spooky treats into the game to celebrate everyone's favourite October holiday.

Fortnite Halloween Event – When is it going to happen?

Other games tend to have their Halloween events run from early-to-mid October until October 31 (or very slightly later).

So we could see Epic start rolling out the Halloween event – including new skins, challenges and emotes – quite soon.

The earliest Halloween event we know of this year is in Overwatch, which is kicking off its Halloween Terror 2018 event from October 9… would we see Epic use the same date?

Fornite does get patched on Tuesdays, after all…

We'll update you as more information becomes available.
