Fortnite Week 5 Update 1

The Fortnite Week 5 Season 7 Challenges are now live and all previously leaked challenges are indeed correct.

That means the below guide for the three stages of 'Dance on top of Water Tower, a Ranger Tower and Air Traffic Control Tower' is also correct.

So read on if you need any extra help with those dancing locations.

Elsewhere if you also need help with the week 5 challenge Search between a Giant Rock Man, a Crowned Tomato and an Encircled Tree you can also follow the link for help with that too.

Should there be any issues with the challenges communicated by Epic Games (as sometimes happens) we'll be sure to update the page.

Otherwise, good luck!

Original Story – The Fortnite Week 5 Season 7 Challenges are set to go live at 2pm GMT and if you need some extra guidance, we're here to help.

You can read all about this week's new 'leaked' challenges on the link above (or alternatively further down).

However, for the sake of this story, we're focussing on one challenge, in particular, that might have players slightly confused and asking for help:

Dance on top of Water Tower, a Ranger Tower and Air Traffic Control Tower?

For anyone wondering how many battle stars this challenge will reward you, it's not yet clear, as the leaks don't appear to suggest how many battle stars each task is worth. However, whether it's a measly 5 or a glorious 10, this challenge is one of the more interesting challenges we've had for a while, so is certainly worth doing for some good fun.

Plus, if you want that hidden loading screen and battle star, you'll need to complete all 7 challenges for the week anyway!

Either way, this challenge should also be pretty easy once you know where to go on the Battle Royale map, which is an added bonus.

Don't worry though if you're not sure where to find these dance locations. we've put together a small guide for you.

So keep reading just below for our step by step guide to help you with this new Fortnite Season 7 Week 5 Challenge.

Where to Dance on top of Water Tower, Ranger Tower, Air Traffic Control Tower?

This Week 5 Challenge isn't especially difficult, you just need to know where to look.

First and foremost, make sure you have a dancing emote available. You won't get very far if all your slots are taken up with golf balls, Basketballs and Snowballs.

Now, it's just a case of thanking the bus driver when you drop from the battle bus and landing at the right locations to dance.

Also, it's worth noting you shouldn't need to complete all three in one match, so feel free to dance on top of one of the aforementioned locations one at a time.

Equally, with so many people looking to drop at these locations to dance, watch your back for any other players who might be nearby and looking to score a cheap kill before getting their boogie on. Read on for details for each dance location

Where to dance on a Water Tower?

You need to head to Retail Row. You can't really miss it, because it's this huge bulbous looking structure in the south-east corner of retail row. There's also a chest on the top of the water tower, so it's always going to be pretty hectic when it comes to dropping from the battle bus. As we mentioned, watch your back!

Where to dance on a Ranger Tower?

You'll find this in the woods just south of Lonely lodge. Again, this is such a huge structure protruding from the woods that it's quick hard to miss, especially when dropping from the Battle Bus.

Where to dance on an Air Traffic Control Tower?

You'll find the Air Traffic Control Tower in Frosty Flights and as one of the big red structures in the snow, it's kind of hard to miss, even if it's not quite as tall as the previous towers you've danced on top of. It does have a big radar dish though, which should make it stand out when you're looking where to land.

Finally, as with every new challenge, you need to finish the game in order for your progress to count. Quit and it won't count, so finish the game either with your death or a glorious victory royale.

As soon as the new challenges are live we'll confirm this as one of the official challenges for Week 5. More info to follow…

Fortnite Week 5 Loading Screen

Those who play the game will know that the loading screen alternates between a free battle star and a secret banner every week.

Thankfully, for week 5, it's time for players to once again pick up a free battle star once they've completed all Week 5 Challenges and unlocked the new loading screen.

Like past seasons, it's likely that once you unlock all seven of these loadng screens you'll get yourself another secret skin for the game.

The Season 7 mystery outfit still hasn't been revealed or datamined just yet and if it's anything like the past seasons we'll find out in Week 7 of Season 7 anyway.

For the time being, you should find this week's new Week 5 hidden Battle Star Frosty Flights and Happy Hamlet, on top of a wooden hut in a small underground cave.

For extra help, have a quick watch of the above video for step by step guide on finding this location.
