FORTNITE 3.3 UPDATE 2

Epic Games have now revealed when the new 3.3 patch will release for PS4, Xbox One and PC players.

According to a tweet sent from the official Fortnite Twitter account, the development team will start rolling out the new patch Thursday morning.

"The storm has brought some luck! v3.3 is coming soon, beginning downtime at 5am ET (0900GMT) on March 15." the tweet reads.

There are no extensive patch notes just yet, but they usually drop following the release of the update.

Likewise it's not been mentioned how long the downtime may take. Although it's plausible that with the game coming to mobile devices at the end of the week that the latest patch could be quite extensive.

FORTNITE 3.3 UPDATE

Epic Games have begun teasing fans ahead of the new, currently delayed, 3.3 update for the game on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Battle Royale and Save the World players were expecting this update to drop today, before later last night the developer pulled the plug.

One of the new features that were expected to arrive was a new Llama item, which would be dotted around the map.

Epic has suggested that this Llama would function and be interacted with "similarly to chests," so we guess it will contain some high-value loot.

Now Epic has given fans their first glimpse at the new item in-game, via a tweet sent in the last hour.

"They'll be out there… waiting. Can you find them? Discover the loot in v3.3." reads the message from the official Twitter account.

No further details have been shared, especially with regards to when this new update will be dropping. But stay tuned and we'll bring you all the information you need when it's revealed.

ORIGINAL STORY – Fortnite players might be currently obsessed with knowing when the mobile game will release on iOS and how to sign up for the new Battle Royale game, but it's worth remembering that the world hasn't stopped turning and a new Fortnite patch is scheduled to release this week.

Well, that was the plan, but now Epic Games official Twitter account has revealed that the 3.3 patch, scheduled to arrive tomorrow, has now been delayed.

Writing on Twitter the team told fans:

"We discovered an issue that will prevent us from releasing v3.3 tomorrow, March 14. We’re working on solving that problem now and will update you once we know more."

At this stage, we guess it's possible that the new update to Battle Royale and Save the World could still release tomorrow (Wednesday 14th) as originally planned.

However, it seems more likely that this new patch will be pushed and arrive Thursday, which is when the game has traditionally rolled out its new updates anyway.

For the time being, you can view some of the general patch notes that Epic has shared so far, although, we expect there to be more when the update officially rolls out.

V3.3.0 Update

  • Coming next week: Supply Llamas!
  • Llamas are found around the map and interacted with similarly to chests.
  • Smoke Grenades are not being used enough, they are being put in the vault (removed from the loot table) and may be reintroduced in the future.

Jetpack

  • Some issues were identified during an internal play-test, they want to sort these out before pushing anything out to the live game.

Teams of 20 LTM

  • Just launched, bridges the gap between ‘Squads’ and ’50v50′.
  • Covers the differences in the LTM – storm sizes and timings are different.
  • Ability to ping team locations.
  • Higher chances of obtaining loot.

In addition to the previous patch notes, Epic has also detailed a few further bug fixes that will be introduced with the new update, as mentioned on their public Trello board.

Teams of 20 Performance

“Players may experience server lag in the early states of the Teams of 20 LTM.

Loud Weapon Audio

“Firing weapons has audio that is louder than intended.” Fixed in v3.3.0.

Unintended rotation of stairs

“Building stairs on a floor tile will result in the incorrect placement and rotation of the stairs.” Fixed in v3.3.0.

NEW UPCOMING ITEMS?

As well as the above notes, it's possible that some new items coming to the game might have already been leaked from past updates.

According to Fortnite Intel, the games last patch, V3.2.0, introduced three new icons which were added to the game files which represent upcoming items to Fortnite Battle Royale.

Dataminers did some digging and found C4, Gas Grenades (which were eventually released) and an Egg Launcher, which looks fairly similar to the Snowball Launcher introduced with the Winter event back in December.
