A new classic mode has been announced for Final Fantasy VII Remake, featuring a battle system closer to the original game.

If you enjoy using the old menus over the new real-time action system, you are in luck, as Final Fantasy VII Remake producer Yoshinori Kitase confirmed at the Tokyo Game Show a new Classic Mode will be included.

The mode will recreate the same play-style as the original, where the Active Time Battle system (otherwise known as ATB Gauge) will automatically fill over time, instead of the remakes system where attacks fill up this gauge.

For players who want to use this mode, it means you wont have to worry about the action side of the combat system and can instead focus on selecting commands, making it possible to play the [Final Fantasy VII Remake] as if it were a classic menu-based RPG, according to Square Enix.

We got a glimpse at both "Easy" and "Normal" modes from the in-game option menus, and Kitase-san then showed us a new combat mode, named "Classic Mode". pic.twitter.com/MTVKeFgBL6
