EA Sports has released a trailer for the third and final installment of its story mode The Journey, which will feature in FIFA 19.

The game mode lets players control the young fictional player Alex Hunter, deciding how he reacts to life as a footballer and influencing his story.

Players also get to play as him in matches and decide what he says in his post-match interviews.

The Journey: Champions will be the conclusion of the game mode which was the first FIFA story mode that focused on a single characters career.

What is The Journey?

The Journey is a story mode series that was first introduced in FIFA 16 and it follows the career of fictional footballer Alex Hunter.

Set in the present day players can control Alexs journey to become a pro-footballer, starting from life as a young prospect at a Premier League club.

The game can be influenced by the players choices that can affect Alexs character and how his story progresses and they can also control him during match gameplay.

Cinematic cut-scenes and special guests appearances also feature, helping to create an experience that isnt available anywhere else in the game.

In the FIFA 19 instalment of the game players will be able to take on the roles of Alex, Danny and Kim.

When is the FIFA 19 release date and when can you play the demo?

FIFA 19 will be available from Friday 28 September on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (Origin).

Players who pre-order the Champions Edition or Ultimate Edition of the game will able to get 3 days early access.

EA Sports has yet to confirm when the demo version of FIFA 19 will be released, but it is usually available around two weeks before the main game is released.

FIFA 19 will be available from Friday 28 September, so we could see the demo released on Friday 14 September.

Players are likely to only be able to play offline matches and there will be a small selection of teams to choose from.

Previous demos have usually featured some of the top teams in Europe including Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

There is a chance that EA may decide to include a demo of the new Champions League mode.
