EA Sports have revealed the FIFA 19 TOTY squad and there are quite a few surprises.

First, before we waffle on about how they've left out England's Harry Kane, the current World Cup Golden Boot winner, here's the Ultimate XI team who have been selected:

Goalkeeper: De Gea

Defenders:
Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, van Dijk, Varane

Midfielders: De Bruyne, Kante, Modric

Forwards: Mbappe, Messi, Ronaldo

EA Sports has informed fans that they plan to release the forwards in-game from 6 pm UK tonight. Which means they will likely be available in FUT packs.

There are no further details on whether they're planning any extra SBC challenges for players in addition to the above, but we can expect to see the Midfielders released tomorrow, followed by Defenders and Goalkeepers on Wednesday.

That's all for now. Stay tuned for more details from this breaking story. But a reminder that the release of these FUT Cards will likely lead to a FIFA 19 market crash. And for you curious types, you can also see who made last year's FIFA 18 TOTY team further down.

But here's something interesting, it includes EIGHT players who have also made the FIFA 19 Team of the Year. That's pub quiz material for you right there…

FIFA 19 TOTY Market Crash

It's pretty obvious, but every FIFA 19 player will want these very special new cards for their Ultimate Team squad.

However, the only way players can go about doing that is through the market or pulling it from a pack when it is available.

Because of this, there should be an influx of pack openings from FIFA 19 players, which should increase the supply of cards on the FUT transfer market.

So, at some point, we should expect to see a market crash in the game with prices for some top tier players spiralling as players offload their unwanted FUT cards.

For some further advice though, we would certainly suggest watching Chu Boi's video above, which explains not just his predictions for FIFA 19 TOTY but also how players can best prepare for the TOTY release.
