Bethesda has confirmed it will be taking Fallout 76 offline today, as the game receives more maintenance.

Yesterday, we saw Bethesda issue a small update to the game on consoles, which landed in the form of a small update. This update was designed to hit a number of bugs and fix some small issues and needed no downtime.

Today, however, we're going to see the game go offline so some more substantial updates can be added.

“We just released an update to bring Korean language support to Fallout 76 on consoles. We did not need to bring the game offline in order to do this, and there will be no patch notes," Bethesda explains.

“However, this will result in a small download of a few hundred megabytes.”

The Fallout 76 developers have revealed the game will be going offline at around 12:30pm in the UK.

Players will be logged out of the game around then, so you're urged to complete and activities you may be taking part in ahead of this time.

You will not be able to log into the game at all whilst maintenance is in progress.

Bethesda has not revealed how long the downtime will last, nor how big the following update will be.

No patch notes or potential fixes have been shared by the company at this point, but we'll update this page when they're available.

The official notice regarding downtime states: “We're planning to bring Fallout 76 offline across all platforms tomorrow morning, around 7:30 a.m. EST, in order to perform maintenance and apply an update.

“During this time, you will be unable to log into or play Fallout 76.

“We'll post update notes during tomorrow's maintenance and will keep you updated as necessary in this forum thread as downtime progresses.”

We'll let you know as soon as more information becomes apparent.
