Immortality is not all its cracked up to be, if youre doomed to an eternity of Fallout 76 – as one player is fed up of never dying.

Bethesdas Fallout 76 can be pretty hellish playing as a mere mortal but apparently its not any better as a virtual god, as one unlucky player has found out.

Posting on Reddit under the name Brogadyn, theyve been complaining that theyve unwittingly switched on god mode in the game.

God mode is a debug tool that stops you from taking any damage and was also often used as a secret cheat option in early first person shooters.

In Fallout 76 it means that Brogadyn can survive nuclear blasts and enter the fissure near Whitespring that instantly kills everyone else.

Even being a god is no fun in Fallout 76

Its not an official option in Fallout 76, but interestingly Brogadyn claims they know how the bug was triggered and thinks they could replicate it again if they want to – but theyre not saying how yet.

As fun as this might sound Borgadyn has got fed up with the fact that theres no meaning or challenge to anything they do in the game.

Theyve already attempted to contact Bethesda support but so far the responses have not been helpful:

Im really frustrated and I have no idea what Im supposed to do – it seems that they [Bethesda support] cant even slay my character for me, or at least didnt mention that even though thats practically what was I begging for in the ticket – but Im unsure if it was a person replying, or simply some automated answer.

The attention gained by the Reddit posts have made Bethesda take the issue more seriously though, and theyve promised to finally put Borgadyn out of their misery.
