This is one way to congratulate someone (Picture: AFP)

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are officially married, tying the knot in a private wedding in Lake Como.

And, while the couple – who are basically Bollywood royalty – have strived for privacy throughout their relationship, theyve been inundated with congratulatory messages on their big day – from condom companies.

Yes, seriously…

Durex India kicked the whole thing off, sharing a subtle message to the lovebirds on Twitter, which read: Congrats Deepika & Ranveer for officially putting a ring on it.

Alongside the post, they added: Weve got you covered. ? #DeepVeer #DeepVeerKiShaadi

However, Manforce Condoms werent entirely convinced Durex did have it covered so sent them a cheeky message as well.

Herere a few options for you to wear on your D-Day. #DeepVeer #DeepikaWedsRanveer #DeepVeerKiShaadi, they wrote, alongside a selection of their products.

Were not entirely sure how Deepika, 32, and 33-year-old Ranveer will feel about the posts, judging by how private they have been about their relationship so far.

Their posts come just as the Padmavaat actress has shared the first photo from their big day, on Instagram.

In a picture shared with her 27.5million followers, the 32-year-old can be seen dressed in an intricate gold and red sari, laughing with her husband as they take part in a wedding ritual.

While another snap showed the 33-year-old whispering something to his bride during another ceremony.

She simply captioned the upload – which has racked up over one million likes – with a love heart emoji, as Ranveer uploading the same two pictures to his own profile for his 15.7million followers.

But these photos might be the only glimpses we get of their two-day wedding, as the couple have been very closed off about their Lake Como nuptials – and six-year relationship as a whole.

Just 30 guests were thought to be invited to their big day, which is said to combine both their South Indian and Punjabi traditions.

Shah Rukh Khan, Harshdeep Kaur and Faran Khan were some of the names who made their way across to Italy, to see the Bollywood stars say their vows.

Were still holding out on being invited to the bigger ceremony, taking place in Bangalore.

However, the pair are thought to have implemented very strict no phone and no social media policies, to make sure their big day is as private as possible.

Unfortunately for them, some guests – aka Harshdeep – accidentally managed to break those rules before the ceremony even began.

According to reports, the singer shared a snap of herself and husband Mandeep Singh posing in front of Lake Como on social media, with the caption: What a beautiful day.

She was reportedly asked by the happy couple to take said picture down very quickly after…

But the 31-year-old isnt the only one getting in trouble with her social media posts, with singer Sanjoy Das tweeting how excited he was for the wedding to get started.

We have reached Milan for a very special occasion of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, he posted.

I am performing with Harshdeep Kaur along with Bobby Pathak and Firoz Khan.

Sanjoys tweet was very quickly removed from his page, after he also broke the no social media rule.

Awkward.
