Sony has released an extensive gameplay trailer for Hideo Kojimas Death Stranding, featuring a wealth of famous faces, creepy babies, and an official release date.

The highly-anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive will release on 8 November 2019, indicating other major first-party Sony releases, like The Last Of Us Part II, wont be arriving until next year.

While weve mostly had cryptic teasers up until now, this latest nine-minute trailer gives us a closer glimpse at Death Strandings mechanics – including using various equipment to navigate the terrain, escaping and fighting militant terrorist groups, and venturing into a purgatory-style parallel universe.

Theres also a dramatic reveal of the full cast list, including Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Lea Seydoux, Margaret Qualley, Guillermo Del Toro, Nicolas Winding Refn, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Troy Baker, and Lindsay Wagner.

While its still unclear how, and if, all these pieces will fit together, it certainly looks like a suitably bold production Kojima is notorious for.

Similarly absurd is the collectors edition for the title, which includes a life-size bridge baby pod aka the creepy pickled baby weve seen all over the trailers.

It also comes with a bridge cargo case, custom steelbook, lumens keychain, in-game cosmetic items, PSN avatars, and the games soundtrack.
