Scream actor David Arquette has told fans dont try this at home after getting in way over his head in a violent Death Match.
Courteney Coxs ex-husband is in hospital after his face was reportedly sliced open by a pizza cutter during a Game Changer Wrestling match with professional fighter Nick Gage on Friday.
The 47-year-old apologised to the professional wrestling world after pictures of his bloodied face circulated online, drawing negative attention to the sport.
David wrote on Twitter: The main reason I got injured was because of my lack of experience – dont try this at home.
The actor was covered in blood after his fight with notorious fighter and convicted bank robber, Gage, whose matches are often a bloodbath.

Footage sees David walk out of the ring to seek medical attention after being attacked with light tubes and a sharp kitchen utensil.
David wrote: This is not the type of wrestling you watch on TV. I knew it was violent and potentially bloody, but I truly did not know the extent of what I was participating in.

He added: However, I take responsibility for putting myself in that situation. For the last six months I have been training and competing in indie matches around the country, as wrestling is a passion of mine.
I want to state again that this is not traditional wrestling, and I have the utmost respect for that sport.
The actor concluded by saying he had zero plans to be involved in a match like this again but looked forward to getting back in the ring in the near future under much different circumstances.
