Temper your expectations, you thirsty RPG fans.

There has been a lot of conjecture about when Cyberpunk 2077 will be releasing. In all the time the game has been being hyped, CD Projekt Red has never outlined a firm release date for the game (although we're expecting a Cyberpunk 2077 release date announcement at E3 this year).

This week, games industry scoop-securer and news prophet Jason Schreier tweeted something pretty clear about the release date for the PS4, Xbox One and PC title: it won't be coming in 2019.

"Death Stranding, fallen order, and Pokémon. Thats a full month especially if CoD goes back to November release and Cyberpunk rumored release date for November is true" tweeted Twitter user BlueTuesday8 at Schreier.

"Idk where you saw that rumor but Cyberpunk is absolutely not coming out this year," the Kotaku journalist replied.

Now, considering Schreier's knowledge of the industry and how the finer he has on the pulse of various studios, we expect he knows a lot more than he's letting on.

We hope to hear an official hint as to when we can expect the game to release at E3.

Back in April, a new job listing for a "Release Manager" at CD Projekt RED went live… and it had people speculating like crazy.

Though the listing doesn't refer at any point to Cyberpunk 2077 specifically, it does note that the role will help guide and shape the release of the developer's creative output.

"Were looking for a quality-focused and well-organized Release Manager to support us on our current and upcoming projects and to take part in the coordination of all global product releases," the job listing states.

"As release manager you will cooperate and communicate with all stakeholders from the CD Projekt involved in the release and take active part in organizing whole process. It includes submissions to first-party console manufacturers, oversee compliance certification process and working with partners on publishing process on multiple platforms."

It comes with a long list of duties – which you can see at the link.

This comes after the creator of the Cyberpunk 2020 board game cleared up a little information about the universe in which the game takes place.
