A new trailer for Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course (an acronym for DLC, geddit?) sounds exciting but this one comes with a sting in the tail: another delay for the games much anticipated expansion.
While we initially announced a 2019 release date for the Delicious Last Course expansion, our highest priority is making sure this new adventure meets the meticulous level of care and quality we always strive for, says Studio MDHR on their website.
Furthermore, the development of the original game taught us a great deal about the importance of making things in a way thats healthy and sustainable for our team.

Theyre not the first developer recently to put the wellbeing of their staff ahead of keeping to a release date, as the games industry struggles with the human cost of the crunch to finish games.
Were taking a page out of Chef Saltbakers book, and spending the necessary time to get the recipe just right, adds the developer. Well be moving the release of The Delicious Last Course, for all platforms, to 2020.
