US actor Corey Feldman, known for his role in The Goonies when he was a teenager, claimed on Wednesday that he was stabbed but police, who opened an investigation into the matter, said that he suffered "no lacerations."

"IM IN THE HOSPITAL! I WAS ATTACKED 2NITE! A MAN OPENED MY CAR DOOR & STABBED ME W SOMETHING! PLEASE SAY PRAYERS 4 US!" wrote Feldman on Twitter.

"THANK GOD IT WAS ONLY MYSELF & MY SECURITY IN THE CAR, WHEN 3 MEN APPROACHED! WHILE SECURITY WAS DISTRACTED, W A GUY A CAR PULLED UP & ATTACKED! I'M OK!" he continued.

In his account, Feldman said that the Los Angeles Police Department was investigating the alleged incident as an "attempted homicide" due to "mounting threats" he claimed he had been receiving since saying he would reveal the identity of the people who supposedly sexually abused him when he was a child.

"I HAVE REASON 2 BELIEVE ITS ALL CONNECTED!" he tweeted.

According to Feldman's testimony given to police, the alleged stabbing incident took place when his vehicle was stopped at a red light in California's San Fernando Valley on Tuesday night.

Police Sgt. Barry Montgomery told the Deadline celebrity blog that Feldman said the attacker made a stabbing motion toward him with an unknown object.

However, Montgomery said that Feldman was not stabbed and, in fact, showed "no lacerations" from any attack.

The actor drove himself to the hospital, where he took photos of himself being treated by doctors that he posted on Twitter.
