Every year celebrities get dressed up for the annual fundraising event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala in New York.

But it appears Monday night they may have outdone even themselves for this years theme, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.” (RELATED: Check Out The Hottest Looks From The 60th Grammy Awards [SLIDESHOW])

Performers like Olivia Munn, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Lopez showed up decked out in stunning outfits complete with crosses and headwear to fit the theme. (RELATED: Check Out The Hottest 2018 U.S. Female Winter Olympians [SLIDESHOW])

Not to mention the skin-tight outfits supermodels like Kate Upton, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, Gisele Bundchen and Kendall Jenner wore that definitely turned heads.

However, Rihanna just might have stolen the show when she showed up in a silver and black sequins mini-dress and matching coat decked out with a jeweled pope hat. (RELATED: Check Out The Hottest Looks From The 60th Grammy Awards [SLIDESHOW])
