Treyarch and Activision are rolling out a new update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 this evening.

The new update is coming to PS4 first, with the Xbox and PC update following later today at some stage.

For those conscious of space, the update is 15.3GB in size.

It was expected that this update would drop on December 10th, although it seemed to be delayed in some sort of confusion between the messaging from Treyarch

In this update, we can expect to see visual upgrades, 'softer' wintery lighting and clearer smoke trails so you can see where other players are deploying.

The developer also announced it will be bringing Operation Absolute Zero to the game tomorrow (on PS4).

"Take the fight to a whole new level. Operation Absolute Zero introduces an all-new Specialist, Zero, as well as Hijacked to Blackout, and much more. Play Operation Absolute Zero content for free starting on 12/11, first on PS4."

The official Patch Notes have yet to drop but should be here at any minute.

However, Charlie Intel has noted a few changes in the game already.

"In Blackout, the map has received a holiday-themed update, alongside environmental updates across some of the named locations."

"Theres also the new Armor Repair, audio updates, and weapon balancing for the mode."

"The new armor repair system lets you pick up armor parts and then repair your own armor by 100 durability. It takes about 2 seconds to repair your armor, and has to be done via the inventory management screen.

"Blackout also has new weapons available in loot stashes, including the two new weapons in Operation Absolute Zero.

"The update also brings a nicer way of seeing how weapon camos change the more kills you get in a game."

BLACK OPS 4 ABSOLUTE ZERO CHANGES

Before the official 1.09 Patch Notes drop you can take a look at some of the changes already mention by Treyarch previously.

Although because this is described as the developer's 'biggest game update yet' for Black Ops 4, there's simply too much info to contain into one page.

That's why we split the info into a page for each of the three game modes:

Black Ops 4 Absolute Zero MULTIPLAYER Updates

Black Ops 4 Absolute Zero BLACKOUT Updates

Black Ops 4 Absolute Zero ZOMBIES Updates

There's also a number of changes coming to the games Black Market. We'll be sure to add more information on those changes shortly.

Stay tuned for more details and official patch notes for update 1.09 shortly.
