Beyonce congratulated Jay Z with a kiss last night as he won the top honour at the NAACP Image Awards.

Jay Z, 49, won the Presidents Award at the star-studded Los Angeles awards ceremony, which earned him a sweet kiss from his wife before hitting the stage to accept the accolade.

The 99 Problems rapper then dedicated his award to Beyonce, whom he married in 2008, describing the singer as the beautiful woman in my life and praising her outfit choice, jokingly adding: Just because of the white suit.

Jay Z also dedicated his prestigious award to mother, Gloria Carter, and his 93-year-old grandmother, Hattie White, telling the audience: [She is] so full of life. Hattie White, amongst other accomplishments and being super great and very tough, raised seven kids in one little walk up.

I grew believing I could do anything. That I could accomplish anything because of those strong women in my house. I would like to dedicate this award to those beautiful women.

After nervously taking to the stage, the 37-year-old singer said: Thank you so much, Im so honoured.

Giving mention to the other nominated talent, Bey continued: So, okay, Regina King, I love you so much. You taught us patience, persistence and how to be masterful in your craft.
