Bag-gate is proving to be yet another scandal that wont end for Bethesda, as it turns out they did make a proper duffle bag after all.

As if charging £60 for a horribly broken and misconceived game wasnt enough, Bethesda also recently got themselves in trouble for advertising the Fallout 76 Power Armour Edition as coming with a canvas duffel bag – and then sending fans a cheap looking nylon one instead.
As you can imagine, that didnt go down well, but things have got worse now that it transpires that Bethesda did have some expensive-looking bags made up for the game after all… which they gave away free to Internet influencers.
The bags arent the same design, so its not like they took them out of the Power Armour Edition and gave them to someone else, but its still not news that fans have been happy to hear.
Bethesdas response to the original situation was confused to say the least, as they ended up calling their own spokesperson ridiculous and inaccurate before giving fans a mere $5 of in-game credit as compensation.

YouTuber HeelsvsBabyface was the first to notice that various unboxing videos featured a duffle bag and not the cheap nylon thing from the ordinary special edition.

It is relatively common for publishers to send unique special edition style bundles to influencers – and occasionally reviewers (all we got was a download code through email, in case youre wondering).
The problem here though is not so much that the influencers got some freebies but that it turned out to be better than the stuff fans had paid good money for.
