Fallout 76 - four hours is not enough time to get any power armour

Bethesda have apologised over a nylon bag (Picture: Bethesda)

Bethesda has apologised over the quality of merchandise in Fallout 76s Power Armour Edition, after fans called out the company for a falsely advertised duffel bag.

The bag in question was advertised as a canvas duffel bag in the £174.99 Power Armour Edition, but the bag shipped was actually made of nylon.

Customers who received the special edition have since noted the drastic difference online, posting comparison shots of the marketing image and what was actually delivered.

Theres even been exchanges between Bethesdas customer services shared, with one giving a particularly blunt response to a fan query, claiming: The bag shown in the media was a prototype and was too expensive to make.

We arent planning on doing anything about it.

Bethesda have now issued statements on the escalating issue on Twitter, writing: Unfortunately due to unavailability of materials, we had to switch to a nylon carrying case in the Fallout 76: Power Armor edition.

We hope this doesnt prevent anyone from enjoying what we feel is one of our best collectors editions.

In another statement, Bethesda apologised over the incident and offered 500 Atoms of Fallouts in-game money as compensation.

They added: We understand and respect that there is disappointment with the bag in the Power Armor Edition. We are sorry.

500 Atoms basically equates to around £4 worth of micro-transactions in Fallout 76, so not exactly huge compensation for a false promise.
