Bill Cosby publicist Andrew Wyatt on Tuesday blamed his clients conviction and imprisonment on a “racist and sexist mass media.”

Cosby was led away after being sentenced to a three to 10-year prison sentence for the 2004 assault of Andrea Constand, and a defiant Wyatt hailed his client as “one of the greatest civil rights leaders in the United States for over the last 50 years.” He called the proceeding “the most racist and sexist trial in the history of the United States.”

“Mr. Cosby is doing great,” said Wyatt. “And Mr. Cosby knows that God is watching over him. He knows that these are lies. They persecuted Jesus and look what happened. Im not saying Mr. Cosby is Jesus, but we know what this country has done to black men for centuries.”

Wyatt insisted that Cosbys past as a civil rights leader and educator “was not pointed out to the jury or allowed in court because the racist and sexist mass media was attacking and denouncing Dr. Cosby whenever his lawyers even hinted there was racism and sexism present.”

“All three of the psychologists who testified against Dr. Cosby were white women who make money off of accusing black men of being sexual predators,” he continued.

Wyatt also accused the prosecutor of working “closely with anti-black and anti-male activist groups who tried to extort $100 million from Dr. Cosby in 2014 and continues to produce racist and sexist publicity against him.”

Uh, quite the statement from Andrew Wyatt, Bill Cosbys publicist, from outside the courthouse.

“I believe and think it is important to point out that this has been the most racist and sexist trial in the history of the United States.”

On Tuesday, Judge Steven ONeill sentenced Cosby to “no less than three and no more than 10 years” in prison in addition to ordering him to pay court costs and a $25,000 fine.

“It is time for justice. Mr. Cosby, this has all circled back to you. The time has come,” the judge said. (RELATED: COSBY SENTENCED TO 3 TO 10 YEARS IN PRISON FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT)
