Armoured Mewtwo Pokemon Go: Release time, Raid Counters, Moves, Stats, Max CP and more (Pic: NIANTIC)

We're going to see the launch of Armored Mewtwo in Pokemon Go later today.

The legendary Pokemon – complete with power-inhibiting metal armor – will arrive in the game at the following times around the world today:

  • 9pm (BST)
  • 10pm (CEST)
  • 4pm (EDT)
  • 1pm (PDT)

It will be available from today until Wednesday 31st July at the same times in each region (unless Niantic opts to slightly increase the time on the back of server issues, which is always a likelihood, to be honest).

If you're keen on taking on the Psychic-type 'mon, you're going to need to go in prepared – here's what you need to know.

Armored Mewtwo Raid Information

You will only be able to battle Armored Mewtwo in Legendary Raids – and these will all be five-star raids, as we've seen with previous special Pokemon.

Armored Mewtwo will be coming in at slightly different stats to previous Mewtwo forms we've seen, and as such will have different CP levels – here's what it's going to look like when you encounter/catch it:

  • Raid Boss CP: 50,581
  • Normal CP range: 1740 to 1821
  • Weather Boost CP range: 2175 to 2276
  • Max CP, powered up: 3187

Generally speaking, an Armored Mewtwo is going to have better defense but worse attack than a non-event Mewtwo (which is likely because the armour the 'mon is wearing is designed to inhibit its latent power).
