Ariana Grande has sent a heartfelt apology after her Twitter drama with Kanye West resulted in Pete Davidson sending a worrying Instagram and exiting social media.

The popstar was forced to apologise to Kanye after making a joke about grown men arguing online – a reference to his lengthy Twitter beef with Drake – after the Gold Digger rapper claimed her comments had triggered his mental health.

Pete later waded into the debate, praising Kanye for opening up about the difficult topic of mental health, but minutes later said he didnt want to be on this earth anymore and deleted his Instagram account.

Now, Ariana has sent a heartfelt apology, insisting she desperately just wants everyone to be happy and healthy.

Man im so sorry i told a dumb joke. i really didnt mean any harm. all i want everyone to be healthy and happy. so desperately. please. my god, the 25-year-old told her Twitter followers.

In another tweet, she implied she had made her way to SNL to see Pete Davidson, adding: Im downstairs and Im not going anywhere if you need anyone or anything. I know u have everyone u need and thats not me, but im here too.

Pete left fans worried after saying he was struggling with his mental health and then seemingly going AWOL.

I really dont want to be on this earth anymore, he told his Instagram followers.

Im doing my best to stay here for you but i actually dont know how much longer i can last. all i ever tried to do was help people. just remember i told you so.

It prompted an outpouring of love and support from his fans and celebs, including Nicki Minaj, with actor Jon Cryer later confirming the comic was accounted for at SNL.

Am hearing Pete Davidson is at SNL and accounted for.

We are thinking of you, Pete.

You are loved.

(And just a heads up, when you finally turn on your cell, its gonna go apeshit for a little while) https://t.co/erUaTcPSdw
