AMANDA HOLDEN has released a stunning rendition of Over the Rainbow as an NHS charity single and now the music video has landed.

Over the last few weeks, singers and musicians have been releasing charity singles to raise money for key workers during the lockdown. And now Amanda Holden has got involved with her very own rendition of Over The Rainbow. The Britains Got Talent judge is raising funds for NHS Charities Together to support NHS staff and volunteers caring for COVID-19 patients.

The music video is mostly shot in black and white, but also shows moments of kids and their artwork supporting the NHS during the lockdown.

After posting the video on social media, Holden wrote: “Proud to share #OverTheRainbow music video with you!

“Theres cameos from people all over the UK paying tribute to our wonderful NHS workers…

“Plus a very special appearance by my hero Captain Tom Moore.”

Last week, the Wizard of Oz song reached No 4 in the Official Charts.

The 49-year-old tweeted: “Well I never!!! ( as my Nan used to say!)

“Youre wonderful… Thanks from us all for your support…

“99p to download on iTunes and every penny to NHS Charities.”

The star described on her show Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden why she owes the NHS her life.

The singer tearfully told listeners how she haemorrhaged during childbirth and “actually did pass away for 40 seconds” before going into a coma.

She told her co-host: “When I gave birth to Holly, my 8-year-old daughter who I know is listening, she was an emergency and I haemorrhaged basically and I actually did pass away for 40 seconds and then I went into a coma.

“But the NHS were there holding my hand and my husbands hand who – I feel sorry for him to be honest, he went through it watching it all!”

She added: “My sister had a car crash three years ago and experienced a brain injury, shes fully recovered but they were there for that.

“And then, of course, its been well documented that Chris and I had a child, a little boy called Theo who was born sleeping at an NHS hospital and again, they were incredible to us, we couldnt have gotten through without them.”

Asked how her Over The Rainbow charity single came about, Holden said: “Okay well last year, I recorded a version of Over The Rainbow.

“It was for my album but obviously that album is on hold. And last week we were chatting, literally last week…”

Holden added: “I remembered this song.

“We talked to my record label Virgin EMI.

“And theyve kindly agreed to put the song out with all the proceeds being donated to NHS Charities Together.
