Fortnite Update 9.31 Patch Notes COUNTDOWN: Revolver, Server downtime, 14 Days of Summer (Pic: EPIC GAMES)
Fortnite fans are counting down the hours until the games next update which should be coming in the next 24 hours, likely at 9am on June 25th.
Fortnite Season 9 Updates have become slightly less predictable with content drops occurring on Tuesday's, Wednesday's and even on a Thursday at one point.
However, last week we returned to normal, with the latest update dropping on a Tuesday morning and it looks like the next Content Update will be coming Tuesday too.
Given that last week saw the release of a fairly substantial update to the game, we would normally expect to see a smaller content update follow the week after.
Tuesday 25th June looks to be the latter, a smaller content update. Granted we still have plenty coming to the game, but maybe hold fire on any massive sweeping changes to the game.
It's also possible that this weeks update won't require the need for any server downtime. As usually, content updates are less labour intesive for the Epic Games team to roll out.
That said, it looks like, even for a content update, there's a lot going on this week, so we might see an update later tonight confirming a small period of maintenance fo the game.
Watch out, is what we're saying. We'll be sure to update this page with more details, but for now, keep reading for a breakdown of what we're anticipating will be the big new additions for the new v9.31 update.
New Revolver Confirmed
The in-game news feed has confirmed that the Revolver will be coming back to the game soon.
The description on the news feed reads, “Simple, reliable, powerful. Some things never get old.”
Back in Season 5 the weapon was vaulted, but based on leaks from dataminers last week, it seems as though the new varient will return with a bit of extra spice and redesign.
Players should see an all-new Legendary and Epic variant of the weapon added to the game.
StormShieldOne has already leaked the stats, which are worth a look if you want a deep dive, but the main difference is that the Epic variant will deal 63 damage whereas the legendary version will deal 66.
