Fortnite Update 8.40 Skins LEAKED: New Skyfighters, Bunny Skins revealed in todays Patch (Pic: EPIC GAMES)
Fortnite is currently down with the game servers offline whilst Epic Games gets to work releasing today's brand new update across the multitude of devices who support the worlds number 1 Battle Royale title.
If you've yet to see what's new in the world of Fortnite, you can check out the new Fortnite 8.40 Patch Notes on the link, alternatively further down we've collated all the major changes you'll notice today.
As a reminder, this update is for all game modes – Battle Royale, Save the World and creative – and across all available platforms, including PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and iOS Mobile devices.
But as with every update, dataminers have managed to uncover a series of new secret files hidden inside the new update.
And this means a multitude of new skins, pickaxes, gliders, back bling, emotes and much more are coming to the game very soon.
Whether these will be added to the shop like we normally see or as part of new challenges or bundles isn't clear, but they will be available in the game soon (we hope).
As with all datamined cosmetics, its not always clear exactly when these new items could go live in the game.
In fact some of the skins from leaked files have famously never released, or held back for another season entirely.
Lets assume these skins are coming to the game shortly, we'll likely find out more about them in the next day or two.
Potentially as new items for sale in the Fortnite shop when it refreshes each morning at 1am GMT.
Take a look at the new cosmetics above and below. We'll have more info about them shortly, including how to get them and how much they might potentially cost.
Or what challenges you need to complete to unlock them in the game.
In the meantime read on for a reminder of what's new in the game as of today's new 8.40 update.
