American retail chain Best Buy appears to have leaked three new Switch games, but what is the mysterious new Zelda listing?
Finding out about a game for the first time via its official reveal is becoming a real rarity nowadays, what with all the leaks that seem to prove that nobody associated with the games industry can keep a secret.
Retail listings are a little unfair because the public arent meant to see them, but employees have found references to three new Nintendo Switch games that apparently confirm two earlier rumours.
Metroid Prime Trilogy has been talked about for months, with one insider claiming the remaster compilation has already been finished, and now its listed by Best Buy as well.
Also appearing in their computer system is Persona 5, although theres no indication of whether its the new directors edition called Persona 5: The Royal or, more likely, the mysterious Persona 5 S.
A Switch version of the game has been heavily tipped ever since main character Joker was announced for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (a new render of which was also leaked by Best Buy) and is expected to be officially revealed on 25 April.
Finally, the most unexpected discovery is a listing for SNES classic The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past. It seems impossible that it could be a simple re-release, so perhaps some kind of remake – possibly in the style of the recently announced Links Awakening?
Links Awakening itself is listed separately, so it doesnt seem like Best Buy have confused the two, but the mystery is only likely to be resolved by a new Nintendo Direct.
The listings themselves may suggest one is imminent, although Nintendo has announced nothing recently.
