David Beckham is almost prepared for Christmas this year – but his finishing touches wont be added until Christmas Eve.

The star has some last minute traditions that he has been following since he was a child – and it involves a KFC bucket.

Despite not sounding all that festive, the 43-year-old revealed that before the Christmas day celebrations, hell order in a KFC and feast while wearing festive pyjamas.

In a video uploaded to his Instagram account, the footballer said: Growing up, I had a very happy childhood. My parents worked day and night to give me and my sisters everything possible.

Christmas Eve was always about my dad going out and getting a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken.

The international star was previously turned down for the show after it was claimed he wasnt well known enough.

Regardless, David and his entire family have been turned into the yellow cartoons by artist Stefano Monda.

In the caption, the model wrote: I mean come on… really… thank you.

He then tagged Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, Harper and Victoria who all featured in the pic.

Showrunner Al Jean told Daily Mirror back in 2010: I had to phone David Beckham to tell him sorry – I didnt think he was a big enough star for an American audience.

He added: I got a lot of grief about that. Some people got angry about it and told me, “I bet you would have put George Best on.”

But I would have turned him down too.
