Fortnite developer Epic Games has admitted it was wrong in creating the Infinity Blade, a weapon so strong that it made the user virtually invincible, and has now removed it from the game.
The weapon was known to replace the entire inventory of the user, allowing them to cause absolute destruction.
It had two main features that players could use, a sword slash that could deal 75 damage to players as well as destroy structures, and the alternate fire let players leap great distances which also destroyed objects that were in their patch.
We messed up and rolled out the Infinity Blade overpowered / without good counters, especially in the end game.
The Infinity Blade has been Vaulted and we are re-evaluating our approach to Mythic items.
Thanks for calling us out on this!

Described by Fortnite on Twitter as a weapon fit for a king, those who suffered from it werent too impressed.
Fortnite has since been quick to backtrack after rolling out the Mythic weapon, apologising to fans in a statement over Twitter.
Heya folks, We messed up and rolled out the Infinity Blade overpowered / without good counters, especially in the end game, a statement from the official Fortnite Twitter read.
The Infinity Blade has been Vaulted and we are re-evaluating our approach to Mythic items. Thanks for calling us out on this!
However, fans have been divided over the move to say the least.
Well played Fortnite. Goodbye Infinity Blade. I hope I never see you again, unless youre a standard pick axe sword, one wrote.
Another added: It takes a lot of courage to admit that youre wrong and listening to your fans. I applaud you guys for that.
If you do decide to bring back the sword just make it like the Save the World Mechanics, thatll make it better as for Mythical items. Take it slow and easy. Dont rush.
However, some werent so relieved about the sword being pulled, reasoning that it added to the excitement.
I hate that you always listen to crybabies, one fumed. Sword was great fun, things like this add more entertainment to the game. Pity….
ADRENALINE WAS THROUGH THE ROOF GOING FOR AND GETTING THE SWORD, one more recalled. I enjoyed playing King Arthur . If you can get the sword you deserve it, put it as a game mode.
Some are speculating that the sword isnt gone for good, although only time will tell.
