Fortnite players probably don't need reminding that Battle Royale just hosted another HUGE in-game live event.
After all, you don't get over 3 million people tuning into a YouTube and Twitch event without causing something of a stir.
However, following the event, numerous players were not only booted from the game – even celeb players such as Ninja suffered this fate as we watched his stream – but also everyday fans of the game.
As such, you might not yet have seen some of the big changes to the games map so far.
Well, fear not, Twitter user, @iScenario, known to many as one of the games many leakers, who also runs @FNBRLeaks website, Discord & Instagram – has grabbed some in-game shots to showcase the changes in all their glory.
Take a look below, but stand by for more updates as other changes to the map are discovered.
What Just Happened in Fortnite?
Kevin the cube exploded.
Actually to be more accurate, Kevin the Cube seemed to cause some sort of singularity in the map and sucked everything around it into oblivion.
Once the Cube imploded, players were transported to a whole new area which seemed to be between time and space, where butterflies glowed in the air and send players back into the map when they were touched.
When players fell back into the map, a new location was present in place of Loot Lake – with standing stones now present in a monument to where the Cube once stood.
The Fortnitemares Finale Butterfly event seemed to be a cover for Epic to make yet more incremental changes to the map. introducing a sort of stone henge area to where loot lake once resided
What will come of this stone circle? We're definitely going to see it be the centre of more mysteries in the future – maybe it'll start to attract more changes and challenges as we reach the end of Season 6 and move closer to Season 7.
Once the event was concluded, as players probably know, players seemed to get logged out of their Epic account and needed to log back in to continue playing.
Stay tuned for updates…
