England rugby union international and Kelly Brooks ex Danny Cipriani has been arrested at a nightclub in St Helier.
His club Gloucester have confirmed the news; the incident took place early on Wednesday morning at a venue in the capital of Jersey.
The former Sale player will appear at a Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.
Gloucester Rugby are very aware of an incident involving Danny Cipriani in the early hours of Wednesday morning following an incident at a St Helier nightclub, his club said in a statement.
He was arrested and has since been charged. He will appear at Jersey Magistrates Court at 10 am tomorrow morning.
St Helier police confirmed the news to Metro.co.uk: This afternoon 30-year-old Danny Cipriani was charged with common assault, larceny, assault on police, resisting arrest, and [acting] disorderly in licensed premises.
He has been remanded in custody until his court appearance at the magistrates court at 10am tomorrow. He was arrested in the early hours following the incident on Mulcaster street in St Helier.
The arrest comes two months after he was convicted of drink-driving and banned from driving for 18 months.
The fly-half is said to have been so drunk that his eyes were glazed as he was found to be twice the legal limit in the early hours of 1 June.
Cipriani, who was playing for Sale Sharks at the time, drove his black Mercedes into a taxi and was discovered to have 67 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath.
He was apparently shocked at being over the limit but has now been fined £4,500 and forced to pay £3,120 in costs.
Following the verdict at Westminster Magistrates Court, Judge Riddle said: Im satisfied so that Im sure that the evidential breath test machine was working properly and produced a reading of 67 microgrammes of alcohol, and therefor the verdict is guilty.
He has also dated Kirsty Gallacher, Sophie Gradon and Game Of Thrones star Sophie Turner.
Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Cipriani for comment.
