Richmond Brewery Stores
These new homes have been built on the site of Britains first poppy factory. The red brick building in Richmond dates back to 1882 and started life as a bottling factory before it was bought by the Royal British Legion in 1925. Afterwards, it became a toy factory making train sets for Marks & Spencer. The RBL poppy operation is now next door, and 18 two and three bedroom new build duplex flats have been constructed. Each has a south-west facing balcony with river views and large marble bathrooms.
