Epic Games recently announced the latest limited-time game mode that will be available on Fortnite.
The team behind the popular game revealed earlier this year that they plan to release a number of new modes for players to experience over the next couple of months.
Most recently, players got to experience the Teams of 20 mode that sort five teams of 20 players battle for victory.
Fortnite’s newest mode will see players face even faster gameplay as they try to avoid the storm circles that will be closing quicker than we’ve ever seen.
When is the new limited time mode available?
Fortnite players will be able to get involved with the new game mode from Monday 19th March.
What is the new Fortnite game mode?
The new limited-time mode is called Blitz and it is a faster and more intense version of the main Battle Royale game.
Matches will last a maximum of 15 minutes and storm circles will closer quicker than the normal game.
The first storm circle will already start to close in when the match starts, meaning places are under immediate pressure to move into the circle as they land on the map.
There are also various loot adjustments that that gives players more chances to get hold of important items and weapons.
Floor loot will spawn nearly 100% of the time, whilst treasure chests and ammo boxes will have their spawning boosted to around 90%.
Players will also have a much greater chance of finding launchpads, making it easier to navigate across the map.
Harvesting resources will also be doubled and resource loot will also go up from 30 to 100.
