If you don’t fancy braving the cold tonight, it’s going to be a great night for television.
There’s the usual Jools Holland’s Hootenanny, The Graham Norton Show and BBC One will be showing the London fireworks display and concert.
They always manage to bring in some great stars and this year is certainly no different, with their celebrity guests being Nile Rodgers and Chic.
The funk legends will be celebrating their 40th year in the business, as well as Rodgers’ induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, playing a collection of their timeless hits Le Freak, Good Times, and many more.
They follow in the footsteps of previous London NYE performers Gary Barlow, Queen + Adam Lambert, Bryan Adams and Robbie Williams.
Rodgers and Chic will be getting their groove on before and after the fireworks on the River Thames.
Guy Freeman, Editor Special Events, BBC Studios said:
I am over the moon that Nile and CHIC will be heading up our New Year’s Eve celebrations. With a host of timeless disco party classics on their setlist, I am sure that living rooms up and down the land will be boogieing along until the wee small hours!
As well as Rodgers and Chic, the fireworks themselves will be choreographed to some much-loved tunes and there will of course be a special rendition of Auld Lang Syne.
Tune in from 11.20pm on BBC One.
